REVIEW: The Unsinkable Greta James

Greta is a budding rockstar who has had a recent hiccup in her career. She is about to launch her second album and tensions are high. Her brother convinces her to join her newly widowed father on an Alaskan cruise. The cruise is intended to be healing for them both and bond them after years of contention.

The story is cute and well paced, Greta finds some inner peace, a little romance and a common ground with her father along the way. I don’t think there was anything earth shattering here, just an uplifting story about finding peace and moving forward.

I’m trying desperately to read all the Book of the Month books I chose this year, since I have so many backlist ones staring me down from the shelf… if you’re a BOTM member, how often do you read your choices within the same month you get them? Same year? Same decade? LOL

I am the Vice President of Clinical Affairs for a medical device company where my job is to promote the utility of the device to doctors. I have science and business degrees and have editorial experience in medical communications. In college, I served as an Editorial Assistant for a healthcare communications company and have served on two editorial boards for peer-reviewed journals. In my free time, I always have a book in my hand... or two or three! On average, I read 20 books a month. I have looked to combine two of my skill sets to review on Goodreads and promote books on Instagram that I love to other readers. I'm open to partnering with publishers as an influencer for book tours, giveaways etc.
